I am displaying favicon in the Digital Experience Site. The favicon displays correctly. However what I am observing is that while the Login Page is loading the browser displays the salesforce logo before displaying the favicon.

Does that mean static resources are only accessible after a user has been authenticated.

If yes, then is there a way to make the static resource available while the Digital Experience Site login page is loading i.e. while it is authenticating the user ?

  • Does the static resource has Cache Control set to public?

I know this question is pretty much old but I would like to comment as I have recently come across similar situations.

Solution : On Guest Profile, If you set View Private Static Resources as true then it you should favicon on login page.

I know this is not really a solution but it did help for me at least. If we understand purpose this permissions then it's applicable for Private Static Resource only but somehow it does work Public Static resources too.
