My name is Cathy and I began working with Salesforce as both an Admin and (trying to be) a Developer for the past 2 years now. Prior to working with Salesforce, I was a mainframe COBOL Developer for approximately 30 years. When my employer embarked on their mission to divest themselves of the mainframe, then that is when I had to pick a new 'medium' to work with. I had a choice between .NET and Salesforce. I chose Salesforce. I have mixed feelings. Some attributes I am really excited about, and others... well...very frustrated with. I say 'trying to be' a developer, because at the moment, what seems to stand in the way of being functional with that, is my brain's resistance to understanding the Apex language. Boy is that a challenge for me.
