I have a folder with a name globalvalueset in git and we have a picklist name CreditHandlingList, we have added a new value in this picklist. In package.xml, I have added * GlobalValueSet Still the new value is not getting added at the destination org. Kindly suggesy

If your custom app references statically the record type Id then you have to change it referencing e.g. the Developer name. Since Id are not kept during deployment from different orgs and environments, but recalculated.

Per Salesforce Support.... The Ant Migration Tool is a "third party tool" and not supported by Salesforce. (News to me.) Second, "Modify All Data" is required. Didn't specify if the permission would work with just deploy. So, there you go.
