Unable to implement "click to call" feature on Visualforce: it is working fine with standard pages of Salesforce. As per my requirement I have to implement this feature from VF page.I have gone through many docs over the internet but unable to find a solution. Thanks in advance.

  • What do you mean by "click 2 call" feature? Is CTI adapter installed and configured in your Salesforce org? – Saroj Bera Jun 30 '15 at 9:54

  • I am using <support:clickToDial> tag for phone field on visualforce page . The icon beside phone number is showing in disabled mode even after i logged in with valid credentials of ring central. – Praveen0555 Jun 30 '15 at 11:17

there are few functions which you can utilize to enable clickToDial.

enableClickToDial() which can enable hyperlink on phone number

disableClickToDial() which can disable hyperlink on phone number

onClickToDial() which gives you javascipt callback when click on phone hyperlink

Apart from this you have to setup callCenterSetting and logged in user must be part of call center users. And most importantly field should be Phone type.

I don't have experience with 3rd party softphone, I have built one for my organization where I used Open CTI API for ClickToDial and other functionality.
