I have created a Custom Label named 'Case_subject', and have added translations for different languages.

When I try to retrieve this Custom Label from a Trigger like Label.Case_subject, it only works for the value given in the Custom Label, and not for the translations added onto it.

Could someone please help me on this? How do I need to implement this in a Trigger so that it works for all languages defined?

The label translation will change based on the running User language settings.. If the Trigger works fine - change the language and test again..

  • Hi, thanks for the response. I am trying this trigger logic to prevent Email-to-case creating cases for Out of office messages. For this I am writing trigger to stop case creation based on subject in the email. I have defined these subjects in the custom label. This works for English. But for other languages the custom label doesn't seem to work as the case gets created via interface, and the language set for this interface is English. Please suggest a way so that the before insert trigger picks the language from the custom label and stops case creation if it matches with the label defined – Bhavana May 20 '15 at 11:25
  • I tried this using the split function, and it is working fine. – Bhavana May 26 '15 at 7:50
