We have a need where we need to create a real time integration from SQL server to salesforce like a message queue.
Whenever a record is inserted or updated on a sql server table, we want the data to be posted in realtime to salesforce using the api.
Here are some options which we are considering and we want to know if you guys have encountered this scenario.
We want to know if we can create an external data-source in salesforce using lightning connect which can connect to a web-service which would feed the data to salesforce. Do standard web-services in .NET are compliant with odata format and can we do this?
Is there any way we can create a messaging service where sql server can post data using SSIS as a request and can salesforce to the service and update automatically?
Please feel free to share your thoughts on how you do real time integration from sql server to salesforce at the moment?
