The flow is not updating the field value on child based on the field value on parent.

Schema looks like this - Object:

   Schedule__c Title__Id  (Text Field)    
   Title__c  (Look up to Title__c object)  >  Title_ID__c (Text Field)

Use Case

When a new Schedule__c record is created Title_Id__c value should be autopopulated to be the same value as on the lookup object's field Title__id__c

When the Scheule__c record's lookup field Title__c is updated from say value A to value B , then Title_id__c on Schedule_c record should be value B's Title_id__c

    Why not simply use formula field instead? Do you really need a flow to do this?

    I agree with Arut why not go with formula field unless user will be updating field on child record as well

  • Thanks , I agree with both of you @Elijah. Originally, I had a formula field however I was asked to populate this in a flow, not sure why.
