I have given Enable API access to community user. But Still not sure about the settings on dataloader.

As community user cannot login via login.salesforce.com and test.salesforce.com how should I login via community user login credentials in Dataloader.

This article in salesforce says we can, but does not mention the steps.

I even followed this, here I get the login page, but it gets redirected to Community Portal instead of showing a success message and coming back to dataloader.

Has anyone done this ?

  • I have not tried that with data loader but the docs mention that you have to change the login url on config.properties file, have you tried that? – Jeferson Chaves Jan 13 at 21:22

  • Fair enough, it seems that is OAuth, and maybe the login is happening through the browser. So, when it redirects you to the Community Portal Login page if you enter the credentials, does it work? – Jeferson Chaves Jan 14 at 12:26
