When a manager need to create a report on checking each user's Salesfoce usage does he need to have a full salesforce license?

Or, will it be sufficient to have a platform license assigned to the manager?

Will he be able to create such report on checking each user's Salesfoce usage only with Salesfoce platform license?

  • The difference b/w Salesforce & Salesforce Platform license is that the latter will not have access to standard CRM, opportunities, forecasts etc. but will have access to reports, dashboards, user objects and force.com platform. So, if the role of the manager is confined to these, then I would assume that platform license should be sufficient. Also, what specific details are you expecting out of an user's SF usage? – arut Dec 21 '20 at 14:30
