Does anyone know how to access the salesforce fields CloseDate_Year, CloseDate_Month, and CloseDate_Day in the EA dataflow for filtering. I need to filter the opportunityHistory dataset using a relative date and I can't figure out how to do it.

I tried to recreate those three fields in the dataflow in a computeExpression node using the saql CALENDER_YEAR(toDate(CloseDate)) to create the CloseDateYear field and similar formulas for the other two fields. Then I used a filter node and added the following saql: date('CloseDateYear','CloseDateMonth','CloseDateDay') in ["3 years ago".."current day"].

I received this error: Something went wrong while executing the Add_CloseDateFields node: invalid field expression for field 'CloseDateYear': Function doesn't have a type check definition: CALENDER_YEAR (02K1b000000JTf6EAG_03C1b000000srckEAA)

Does anyone know of a way to do this? It doesn't seem like it would be this complicated. Am I missing something?

  • In this case, you may need to write a recipe. Dataflows are more limited than what you can do in a recipe. – nbrown Sep 18 '20 at 17:57
