Currently We hold three salesforce communities within org application with two different template. We are trying to bring out of box Maintenance page when the communities bring down. (set community to Inactive). When we tested in dev environment, It is actually showing us white blank page instead of Maintenance page. We saw same behavior with both template. Can someone please help us to achieve this solution.

There are discussion going on some post. However, We couldn't achieve at solution.

  1. Override Default Pages in Your Community with Custom Pages: https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=networks_page_overrides.htm&type=5
  2. see idea: https://success.salesforce.com/ideaView?id=0873A000000PYwUQAW
  3. write your own custom vf page and identify the community url & based on that you can show. To achieve this, edit the 'UnderConstruction' visualforce page that you probably have in your org. This is the page that is shown to the user trying to login to an inactive community.
