Currently, adding in ContentVersion records which hold Files. I want them accessible by Community users but the associated ContentDocumentLink is defaulted to view for InternalUsers. Is there a way to change it so that it defaults to ALLUsers, instead of changing it in a trigger?

No, there is no default you have control over. It actually defaults to "internal users" only because you have communities enabled. You'll have to use a trigger or tell your users to explicitly share it with all users.

  • Thank you, this was an informative answer. Just to confirm about the 'AllUsers' option, that just means it includes community users that have record access right? Not every single user that is a community user but only the ones that could've if they were internal users. – Peter Luo Oct 30 at 16:13
  • Yes, I believe it's technically "all with access" when it says "allUsers". – Kris Goncalves Oct 30 at 19:09
