I'm facing with the following issue: Iv'e created lightning component (launched by quick action), then when pressed - opens new sub tabs (opportunity record and vf page).

What i'm trying to achieve is to also refresh the primary tab when the action button is pressed (in my case - account object).

I used the workspaceAPI.refreshTab option, but only the related lists is been refreshed and the record is "stuck" and I cannot do anything unless i'm refreshing the page manually.

This is the code i'm running:

workspaceAPI.isConsoleNavigation().then(function(consoleResponse) {
                if (consoleResponse) {
                    // Save current tab info
                    workspaceAPI.getFocusedTabInfo().then(function(tabResponse) {
                        var parentTabId = tabResponse.tabId;
                        var parentTabTitle = tabResponse.title;

                        // Open Visualforce Page in a new tab
                            parentTabId: parentTabId,
                            url: '/lightning/r/Opportunity/'+isValid+'/view',
                            focus: false
                                parentTabId: parentTabId,
                                url: vfURL,
                                focus: true
                            }).then(function(openSubResponse2) {
                                console.log("New SubTab Id: ", openSubResponse2);
                                    tabId: openSubResponse2,
                                    label: "Sub tab Label"
                                helper.refreshTab(component, tabResponse, parentTabId, parentTabTitle);

And this is my Helper method

refreshTab : function(component, tabResponse, refreshTabId, refreshTabTitle) {
var workspaceAPI = component.find("workspace");
        tabId: refreshTabId
    }).then(function(refreshResponse) {
        console.log("Refreshed: ", refreshResponse);
    .catch(function(error) {
        component.set("v.errorMessage", error);

Do you have any solution for that ? Is that a known issue ?

Thanks for the help.
