We are encountering a tricky situation in our Live Chat implementation.

Right now our website is using liveagent.startChat to create a live chat session in a new window, which is built with VFP.

The problem we have is, if a visitor triggers a live chat session, then close the live chat window before Agent pick it up in Salesforce, the LiveChatTranscript record with InProgress status will be kept in Salesforce, then if Agent pick it up, this session is a ghost record because the visitor has closed the window, there is no way for our agent to know if visitor has left until the timeout ended.

How can we prevent this to save our agent's time to not wait such ghost session timeouted? Any suggestions or ideas will be very appreciated as it's so annoying.
