Hello I am trying to create an entry criteria when an opportunities last activity date is greater than 7 days..

I cannot seem to get the syntax correct. here what I've got so far.

today() - DATETIMEVALUE([Opportunity].LastActivityDate) < 7

Any kind of assistance is much appreciated.

Thank you

TODAY() and LastActivityDate both have 'Date' format. So:

TODAY() - LastActivityDate < 7

This should do

  • hey fred thanks for that but i received an error. The formula expression is invalid: Formula result is data type (Boolean), incompatible with expected data type (Date/Time). – Andrew Sean Baldwin Jun 10 at 7:49
  • No idea what you try to achieve, can you add a screenshot or something? – Fred Jun 10 at 8:43

To find the number of days between two dates, date_1 and date_2, subtract the earlier date from the later date: date_1 — date_2

Therefore, in your case, it will be

 TODAY() - LastActivityDate

Here you can find all the date related formula and description

Since the entry criteria must be greater than 7 days and both the Today() and LastActivityDate have Date format

(TODAY() - [Opportunity].LastActivityDate )>7

This should work

I have tested in my developer Org it works!!!
