I'm attempting to place a footer at the bottom of every page within our Community site, regardless of the content on each page, and I'm unable to do so successfully. I'm utilizing the custom CSS overrides and am targeting this div:

.cFooterPanel {
margin: 50px auto 0 auto;
border-top: 2px solid #eee;
background-image: linear-gradient(#FAFAFA, #fff); }

But this does not result in a footer at the very bottom of the page. The footer moves up on the page if there isn't enough content to push it down. I don't want my footer to overlap content either by being fixed. Your help is appreciated.

  • Are you looking to implement a sticky footer? – Ayoola Olapo May 16 '19 at 19:24
  • Yes, a sticky footer. The problem is that I can only edit the CSS of the community, I don't have access to the HTML. So I have to achieve this with the HTML structures in place, purely through CSS overrides. – Will White May 16 '19 at 19:45
  • @WillWhite You can utilize Custom Theme Layouts to be able to display a consistent footer across your community pages. – Jayant Das May 16 '19 at 19:59
  • I have a consistent footer, I'm now trying to position it as a sticky footer at the bottom of my pages with CSS. Which I've failed to do and is why I'm reaching out for help. – Will White May 16 '19 at 20:33

I found the "hack" solution by doing this:

.cCenterPanel {
  min-height: calc(100vh - 70px);
.cFooterPanel {
  height: 50px;
