I currently am in the middle of creating a custom Case Feed component for our customer users that surfaces the forceChatter:publisher and forceChatter:feed components. The reason we decided to go the custom route was so that we can disable the publisher when a Case is closed as we do not want our customers to make posts/comments against Closed Cases. While this works for posts, it does not remove their ability to make Comments, which is part of the forceChatter:feed component.

Is there a way that we can disable a user's ability to make comments in a feed using some custom attribute on the forceChatter:feed component? So far everything I have read has not mentioned any ability to do this.

Here is the code we have so far (Note: Cases are called Tickets in our Org):

<aura:component implements="force:hasRecordId,flexipage:availableForAllPageTypes,forceCommunity:availableForAllPageTypes">
<aura:attribute name="recordId" type="String" description="record id" />
<aura:attribute name="ticketRecord" type="Object" />
<aura:attribute name="ticketLoadError" type="String" />
<aura:handler event="force:refreshView" action="{!c.doReload}" />
<force:recordData aura:id="recordLoader"
                  recordId="{!v.recordId}"
                  fields="Id,Subject,Description,CaseNumber,IsClosed"
                  targetFields="{!v.ticketRecord}"
                  targetError="{!v.ticketLoadError}" />
<aura:if isTrue="{! not(v.ticketRecord.IsClosed) }">
    <forceChatter:publisher context="RECORD" recordId="{!v.recordId}"/>
</aura:if>
<forceChatter:feed type="Record" subjectId="{!v.recordId}" feedDesign="DEFAULT"/>
