Is ther any unique id available for object.

If yes, How to get a object's unique id ie.object_id using rest api.

  • Please edit your post to explain why you think you need this. The object itself does not have its own unique ID, it only has its unique API name, which is sufficient to identify it. The custom object MyCustomObj__c doesn't have a unique ID for itself, you just use the API name to reference it. – David Cheng Feb 11 '19 at 15:50

You can execute a SOQL query where you select the object via the where clause and can get the unique Id via the returned Id field. Every record has a platform allocated Id value.

  • I think you confused my question. Every record contains a unique id called (id). Like every object must have a id. How to get it. – k.s.mahes prabakar Feb 11 '19 at 9:34
  • @k.s.mahesprabakar You perform a query that includes the Id field in the response. Exactly how you do that depends on the language you are making the call from. – Keith C Feb 11 '19 at 9:40
  • @k.s.mahesprabakar Improve your question with detail about the fields that uniquely identify the record and what language you are making the request from and someone may offer further help. But better you spend your time researching and learning and trying to do it yourself. – Keith C Feb 11 '19 at 10:18
