I am using following URL to create REST API request to create/update a record in the data extension: https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/atlas.en-us.noversion.mc-apis.meta/mc-apis/postDataExtensionRowsetByKey.htm

I have a data extension, which has "EMAIL_ADDRESS" as it's primary key.

When I construct the POST API request as per documentation using Postman client, I get following error:

{
    "message": "Primary key 'EMAIL_ADDRESS' does not exist.",
    "errorcode": 10000,
    "documentation": ""
}

I am not sure why is this happening?

I have provided all the necessary fields in "values" & "keys" of the JSON.

  • can you post a sample of your call. It is hard to debug your issue without seeing your code. – Gortonington Dec 7 '18 at 18:57
  • It looks like the error may be you trying to update an email address that does not exist in the DB, please share your JSON payload and API endpoint you are hitting. – Nick Ellis Dec 10 '18 at 19:25

I could resolve the error by creating another "Installed Package" & using these new Keys to generate access token. There was no change required in API call payloads.
