When saving my lightning component I am getting the error"FIELD_INTEGRITY_EXCEPTION" "Failed to save LaunchpadList.cmp: Invalid definition for null:LaunchpadListController: null: Source"

I've tried rebooting dev console, saving with a known working controller and then replacing the controller name - and nothing seems to work.

Here's my component's code:

<aura:component implements="forceCommunity:availableForAllPageTypes" access="global" controller="LaunchpadListController">
<aura:attribute name="lpIconList" type="Launchpad_Icon__c[]"/>
<aura:handler name="init" value="{!this}" action="{!c.doInit}"/>

<article class="slds-card slds-card_boundary forceBaseCard">
    <div class="slds-card__header slds-grid">
        <header class="slds-media slds-media--center slds-has-flexi-truncate">
            <div class="slds-media__body">
                <h2 class="header-title-container">
                    <span class="slds-card__header-title slds-truncate">Upcoming Hospitality Events</span>
    <table class="slds-table slds-table_bordered slds-table_cell-buffer slds-table_fixed-layout">
            <tr class="slds-text-heading_label">
                <th scope="col"><div class="slds-truncate slds-align_absolute-center slds-text-body_small" title="Title">Title</div></th>
                <th scope="col"><div class="slds-truncate slds-align_absolute-center slds-text-body_small" title="Link">Link</div></th>
            <aura:iteration var="x" items="{!v.lpIconListDet}">
                <c:LaunchpadListDetail lpId="{!x.Id}" lp="{!x}"/>

    Is LaunchpadListController Apex class is valid and is saving? – Pranay Jaiswal Dec 6 at 22:12
  • Yes it is. No issue with saving the controller. It's a js controller as part of the Lightning component bundle. – Erik Eitel Dec 7 at 13:06
  • That was my issue. I was referencing the JS controller and not the apex controller. Works and can save now. – Erik Eitel Dec 7 at 14:29
