I have trigger which works on after update call on a particular object. I added some debug points to understand which data that I am getting from the record.

When I click on save button on the record, the trigger got executed and the record also got updated. But when I check the debug logs, its not showing any system.debug statements that I added in the trigger. I checked the trace log and it's showing today's date and its valid till next 24 hours.

I asked my other colleague to run any trigger that he created he is also facing the same issue.

Just want to know is there any place that we need to enable the debug log properties in org wide? This issue is happening form the last 2 to weeks. It used to work before without any issues.

let me know if I need to provide any more details on this post.

Hi, and welcome to SFSE! As written, we don't have enough information to help you. Please read more about How to Ask, then edit your question to include additional details. Details like any error messages, framework error messages, etc would be useful, as well as the code you've written so far. – Amit Singh Jul 20 '18 at 13:46

Can you re-create your trace log settings , and ensure that there are at least debug level for apex and system? – kurunve Jul 20 '18 at 13:47
  • Check to see if the code in your situation isn't similar to my answer to this question: salesforce.stackexchange.com/questions/225531/…. – crmprogdev Jul 20 '18 at 13:50
  • @kurunve, Yes. I re created it is the same result. I added the debug level screenshot to the questions. Please check it – KSL Jul 20 '18 at 14:05

but apex code says 'Error', which means that System.debug as is will not work. System.debug(LoggingLevel.Error, 'test'); will do – kurunve Jul 20 '18 at 14:12

I think if you change the apex log level to finest, then you should get trigger logs.

Additionally, ensure the trigger is running in the logged-in user context, if not you might want to enable debug logs for the user in whose context your trigger is getting executed (like sometimes it may be a community user or guest user in case trigger is getting fired from community pages).

You can enable debug logs for any user by going to setup --> debug logs.
