I am having an issue where i need to report on an master detail account and project report type. The report must show all project fields and a annual revenue(account field) greater then 1 million if the field has been updated over the last 3 years. E.g the annual revenue field has a current figure of $800,000 but 2 years ago it was 1 milllion and i need the report to reflect this.

I have tried field history tracking but when i create the report type it only shows the account history of the field and i am unable to add the project fields to the report.

I have thought about creating a formula field on the account object using MAX but not sure how to use the formula to take into account the fields history.

Thoughts?

  • Looks like i can use a joined report but then having to show field history tracking on a joined report for child object then filter it that way. – Salesforce noob May 23 '18 at 14:57
