We have enabled the lightning for outlook. It is working great. Only thing that I am noticing is that for every mail when I click on salesforce icon, it does the authentication again and again which adds nearly 10 seconds delay to get the actual screen.

Is there any configuration which will make sure that user is logged in salesforce all the time. (It is ok if it does the authentication if the session time expires)?

We have implemented Lightning for outlook as well and we dont see this issue . But we do see a delay when attachments / any global actions are clicked . But plugin keep rotating issue was solved only by clearing IE cache.

  • Every time I open lightning for outlook panel via salesforce icon, it shows loading icon. Is that happening with you or is it opening immediately? – Kiran Machhewar Jan 15 '18 at 21:49
  • Also how does IE is helping here. I am talking from the context of outlook for mac/windows. – Kiran Machhewar Jan 15 '18 at 21:49
  • There is no specific documentation on this , but that is the only workaround we have now , else use the lightning for outlook from web . There is an known issue around this as well – freaker87 Jan 18 '18 at 16:32
