How do I query out a greater than / less than based on a static date?

So far I have:

(acc.[Most_Recent_Auto_Loan_Application__c] > 2017-08-01 AND
acc.[Most_Recent_Auto_Loan_Application__c] < 2017-10-31)

And that is not returning any results - am I missing a step?

try putting single quotes around the dates. If that doesn't work, make sure that the date you are comparing it to is in the same format as the date you are pulling from your DE. Dec 12 '17 at 20:09

The format for dates in SOQL is: 2016-03-17T12:00:00.000+0000

I believe this is stored as UTC time.

Also, I don't think you need the [].

Try: (acc.Most_Recent_Auto_Loan_Application__c > 2017-08-01T00:00:00.000+0000 AND acc.Most_Recent_Auto_Loan_Application__c < 2017-11-01T00:00:00.000+0000)

I think the required format depends if the field is defined as a date or a date/time. The format I provided is for date/time.
