I am trying to use Quote in my vf page which I am accessing through sites. But in sites profile there is no 'Quotes' in list of standard objects permission. and I am getting this error. 'Read access denied for Quote, controller action methods may not execute.'

  • Have you tried this fix? – David Cheng Oct 9 '17 at 19:34
  • Hi David, Quote is available for sites from my developer org account. I am facing this issue in the sandbox. I don't know the reason. – Urvish Oct 10 '17 at 4:38

As the error method clearly says you don't have read permission. TO access any object we need read permission. Now to solve this you can try one thing. Write your controller Without sharing keyword. So that you can access it in class.

In VF page you might need to use wrapper class to display the data.

This is not a supported approach and if you are making a ISV app then you might face some issue.

  • @Urvish We have many extra feature available in devloper edition which we don't get in all production environment. Also we first need to enable quote. – Tushar Sharma Oct 10 '17 at 5:25
