I would like to conditionally render a component in Lightning App Builder based on a field value, but the field dropdown is missing the field I would like to filter on. It's a date field, but there's also a text field I could use. What would cause these fields to be missing?

Your user's profile or permission set needs to have at least read access for the fields on that object.

It actually does attempt to provide an answer - I am not commenting on whether or not it's correct, because I personally don't know, but it is a valid attempt at an answer. Sep 11, 2017 at 19:59

I changed the wording so that it was not asking a question. Sep 11, 2017 at 20:06
  • It could potentially be the answer in another case, but, unfortunately, not in this case, unless there is somewhere I'm failing to look. The field is Visible to for all profiles and is Read-Only on the Master record type. (The latter probably shouldn't matter, since there are many fields that are hidden from the page layout but still show up in that component filter dropdown) Sep 11, 2017 at 21:00
  • It appears this capability is brand-new as of the Winter '18 release. releasenotes.docs.salesforce.com/en-us/winter18/release-notes/… Sep 12, 2017 at 5:13
  • This is not the answer.
