How can I change default apex class (to custom class) in inbound settings on social customer service page? In company we have enterprise edition.

  • Which integration are you using Radian6 or just the starter pack? – Dave Humm Oct 4 '16 at 16:04
  • I'm using Radian6 integration. – user37950 Oct 5 '16 at 7:32
  • Ok, so you can change it - see my answer for the details. – Dave Humm Oct 5 '16 at 7:37
  • I checked installed packeges and I noticed that Radian6 is not installed, but when I set up social customer service I created Radian6 account. Should I install Radian6 package? – user37950 Oct 5 '16 at 7:46
  • Yes I think that needs to be done, check the implementation guide I linked to for full details though as it is about a year since I have last done it. – Dave Humm Oct 5 '16 at 7:48

If you are using the Starter Pack this is not possible as per the Salesforce help.

If you aren’t using the Starter Pack, you can customize the default Apex class to specify how inbound social content is processed.

Assuming that you are using Radian 6 and Social Studio you can do it as follows Setup>Build>Customise>Social Media>Setup Social Customer Service

Then select the Inbound Settings tab and select the custom class instead of using the default class. This is only possible once the custom class has been created and deployed to the environment.

There will be a list of the classes which includes the references to the Social.InboundSocialPostHandlerImpl like in the standard Apex supplied

    global class MyInboundSocialPostHandlerImpl extends
Social.InboundSocialPostHandlerImpl implements Social.InboundSocialPostHandler
