I have setup Marketing Cloud Connect app in my Salesforce org and also setup Salesforce Integration under Marketing Cloud (Email Studio -> Email -> Admin -> Salesforce Integration). Now, when I go to Contact Builder -> Data Source -> Synchronized tab, I'm not able to sync the custom object (Campaign__c). It just allows me to sync Contact, Lead, User object types.

enter image description here

Is it possible that I might missed something while setup which preventing the sync for the custom objects? How does an object become available for synchronization? let's say if want to synchronize Account, how can I achieve that?

Need help.

The step by step in this documentation is pretty good. It worked for me. http://help.marketingcloud.com/en/documentation/contact_builder/integrate_data_into_your_account_with_synchronized_data_sources/implement_synchronized_data_sources/

  • Actually, it worked for me as well. And I found out that I need to sync the objects shown on sync prerequisites link. Later I decided not to go that way. Thanks for your answer. – jagmohan Sep 28 '16 at 2:26

At first you need to synchronize the lead, contact and user objects. Then you can connect other objects. Just read the synchronization prerequisites that are indicate. Do not be mistaken about an object, otherwise it will still be in Marketing Cloud. To remove an object you must uninstall and reinstall the connector. We can just pause it.
