Queues are not getting email notification if a lead is created using new button on lead page or if leads are edited.Lead assignment rule runs correctly but it is not sending mail.Lead is assigned to the queues correctly.Email deliverability is set to "all email".What could be the issue.

  • Its not a test method.I am creating leads and assignment rule is fired.But mail for that assignment rule is not sent to respective queues. – Jack vardy Feb 11 '16 at 17:04

At the bottom of lead page layout there use to be a optional section which has a checkbox against "Assign using active assignment rule".So if it is checked then assignment rule will be fired while creating leads or updating leads.If you edit lead page layout and go to layout properties at the top there u have two option 1)Show on edit page 2)default

If you check option 1 then it will be visible in page layout of lead and if u check option 2 then by default "Assign using active assignment rule" will be checked. When i marked checkbox "Assign using active assignment rule" then i was able to receive mails on creation or update of leads in the system.
