I actually resolved my problem today though! There was an uncaught exception that was presenting an error. Once I caught the exception it indicated that I wasn't 'allowed' to change the button after the live agent had already been initialized. Further research showed it to be a custom error built into their deployment.js that was blocking me from executing the liveagent.showWhenOffline or showWhenOnline functions which control the show/hide. I'll be posting the answer below. | |
